Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and entrepreneur who has become one of the most recognizable figures in comedy filmmaking. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rogen began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager and was cast in the Judd Apatow-produced television series Freaks and Geeks (1999) at age 16. Although the show was short-lived, it launched the careers of several future stars and connected Rogen with Apatow, who would become a key collaborator.

Rogen’s breakthrough came with the comedy hit Knocked Up (2007), directed by Apatow, which grossed over $219 million worldwide. He quickly became a leading man in comedies, starring in Superbad (2007), which he also co-wrote, Pineapple Express (2008), and This Is the End (2013). His writing partnership with Evan Goldberg proved especially lucrative, as the duo co-wrote and co-produced numerous commercial hits.

Beyond acting, Rogen has built a significant entertainment empire through his production company Point Grey Pictures, which he co-founded with Goldberg. The company has produced hits including Sausage Party, Good Boys, and the critically acclaimed television series The Boys and Invincible for Amazon. These producing credits have substantially increased his earnings beyond his acting salary.

In 2019, Rogen co-founded Houseplant, a cannabis lifestyle company that expanded from Canada into the United States. The brand sells cannabis products and stylish pottery and home goods, adding a significant entrepreneurial dimension to his wealth. Rogen has been a vocal advocate for cannabis legalization and Alzheimer’s research through his charity Hilarity for Charity, which he co-founded with his wife Lauren Miller Rogen.
