Sheryl Suzanne Crow is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans over three decades and has produced some of the most beloved rock and pop songs of the 1990s and 2000s. Born in Kennett, Missouri, she grew up in a musical family where her father was a lawyer and trumpet player, and her mother was a piano teacher. She studied music composition at the University of Missouri, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music education. After graduating, she worked as a music teacher before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry.

Crow’s early career in LA included singing backup for Michael Jackson on his Bad World Tour (1987-1989) and contributing backing vocals and songwriting for various artists including Don Henley and Joe Cocker. Her breakthrough came with her debut album “Tuesday Night Music Club” (1993), which featured the massive hit “All I Wanna Do” — a laid-back, narrative-driven track that won three Grammy Awards including Record of the Year and Best New Artist.
