Travis Barker

Travis Landon Barker, born on November 14, 1975, in Fontana, California, is one of the most recognized and versatile drummers in modern rock music. He began playing drums at age four, inspired by his mother’s encouragement before her passing when he was thirteen. After brief stints with the Aquabats and a fill-in role with Blink-182 in 1998, Barker became the band’s permanent drummer, helping propel them to international stardom. With Blink-182, he recorded iconic albums like “Enema of the State,” “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket,” and the self-titled “Blink-182,” selling tens of millions of records worldwide.

Barker’s drumming style, known for its speed, precision, and showmanship, has made him one of the most in-demand collaborators in music. He has worked with artists spanning genres from hip-hop to pop to country, including collaborations with Lil Wayne, The Game, Machine Gun Kelly, and Willow Smith. His side projects include the band +44, the rap-rock group Transplants, and various solo releases. In 2008, Barker survived a devastating plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina, that killed four of the six people on board. He suffered burns over 65 percent of his body and endured years of surgeries and rehabilitation. The crash profoundly impacted his life and career, leading to a long-standing fear of flying that he eventually overcame in 2021. His resilience through this ordeal has become a defining chapter of his personal story.

Beyond music, Barker has built a diverse business portfolio. He founded Famous Stars and Straps, a clothing company, and DTA Records. He owns Crossroads restaurant, a popular vegan eatery in Calabasas, and has invested in real estate properties across Southern California. His marriage to Kourtney Kardashian in 2022 further elevated his public profile and business opportunities. The couple welcomed their son Rocky in November 2023.
