Fergie

Stacy Ann Ferguson, known professionally as Fergie, was born on March 27, 1975, in Hacienda Heights, California. She began her entertainment career as a child actress, voicing the character Sally in the “Peanuts” animated specials and starring in the Nickelodeon series “Kids Incorporated” from 1984 to 1989. As a teenager, she was a member of the girl group Wild Orchid, which released three albums but never achieved major commercial success.

Fergie’s career reached new heights when she joined the Black Eyed Peas in 2003, replacing previous vocalist Kim Hill. Her addition transformed the group from an underground hip-hop act into a global pop phenomenon. With Fergie as a member, the Black Eyed Peas released massive albums including “Elephunk” (2003), “Monkey Business” (2005), “The E.N.D.” (2009), and “The Beginning” (2010). The group produced numerous number-one hits including “Where Is the Love?,” “My Humps,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling,” and “Imma Be.” “I Gotta Feeling” spent 14 consecutive weeks at number one and became one of the best-selling digital singles of all time.

Alongside her work with the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie launched a hugely successful solo career. Her debut solo album, “The Dutchess” (2006), sold over 8 million copies worldwide and produced three number-one singles: “London Bridge,” “Glamorous,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” The album earned multiple Grammy nominations and established Fergie as a major solo artist. Her second solo album, “Double Dutchess” (2017), was accompanied by a visual album experience.

Fergie has also built a substantial income through business ventures and endorsements. She launched a fragrance line and a shoe collection with Fergie Footwear. She served as a judge on the UK competition show “The Four” and has appeared in films including “Poseidon” (2006) and “Nine” (2009). She was married to actor Josh Duhamel from 2009 to 2019, and they share a son, Axl Jack. Despite stepping back from the Black Eyed Peas in recent years, her catalog of hits continues to generate significant royalty income.
