Prakazrel Samuel Michel, known professionally as Pras Michel or simply Pras, is an American rapper, singer, and actor best known as a founding member of the iconic hip-hop group the Fugees. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Haitian immigrant parents, Pras grew up between Brooklyn and New Jersey. He co-founded the Fugees (originally Tranzlator Crew) in the early 1990s alongside Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill while they were students at various New Jersey schools. The group’s second album “The Score” (1996) became one of the best-selling hip-hop albums of all time, moving over 22 million copies worldwide.
