Kristen Doute

Kristen Kelly Doute is an American reality television personality, entrepreneur, and author who rose to fame as an original cast member on the Bravo series Vanderpump Rules. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, Doute moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and worked as a waitress at SUR Restaurant, the West Hollywood establishment owned by Lisa Vanderpump that serves as the backdrop for the hit reality show. She joined the cast when the series premiered in January 2013.

Doute quickly became one of the most talked-about cast members on Vanderpump Rules, known for her dramatic romantic relationships, confrontational personality, and memorable on-screen moments. Her tumultuous relationship and breakup with co-star Tom Sandoval was a central storyline in the show’s early seasons, and her friendship dynamics with other cast members like Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney kept her at the center of the show’s narrative. She appeared as a main cast member through Season 8.

In June 2020, Doute was fired from Vanderpump Rules alongside Stassi Schroeder after past racially insensitive actions came to light, including an incident involving former castmate Faith Stowers. She had previously launched a T-shirt line called James Mae and co-authored the book ‘He’s Making You Crazy’ in 2020.
