Bianca Del Rio

Bianca Del Rio, born Roy Haylock, is an American drag queen, comedian, actor, and costume designer widely regarded as one of the most successful and celebrated queens to emerge from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Haylock began performing in drag in the late 1990s and spent over a decade building a reputation in the New York City drag scene as a sharp-tongued, fearless comedian. Before Drag Race, he was already a respected costume designer for theater and opera productions, including work with Cirque du Soleil.

Bianca Del Rio won Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2014, becoming the first contestant to never land in the bottom two throughout an entire season. Her victory was widely praised by fans and critics alike, and she is frequently cited as one of the strongest winners in the show’s history. Her insult comedy style, reminiscent of legends like Joan Rivers and Don Rickles, combined with her undeniable talent for costume design and performance, made her a standout on the show and beyond.

Following her Drag Race victory, Bianca Del Rio has built a thriving career as a touring comedian, performing sold-out shows across the globe. She has headlined multiple world comedy tours including the “Rolodex of Hate” and “Unsanitized” tours. She starred in two feature films, “Hurricane Bianca” (2016) and its sequel “Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate” (2018). She published her book “Blame It on Bianca Del Rio” in 2018. Known for her sharp wit and willingness to push boundaries, Bianca has become one of the most commercially successful drag performers in the world, with a dedicated global fanbase that continues to grow.
