Al Pacino

Al Pacino is an American actor and filmmaker born on April 25, 1940, in East Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. Raised primarily by his mother and grandparents after his parents divorced when he was two, Pacino grew up in modest circumstances in the South Bronx. He discovered acting as a teenager and attended the High School of Performing Arts before dropping out at age 17 to pursue his craft. He studied under legendary acting teachers Lee Strasberg and Charlie Laughton at the Actors Studio, developing the intense Method approach that would define his career.
