Fred Again

Fred Again, born Frederick John Philip Gibson, is a British DJ, producer, and songwriter who has rapidly become one of the most influential figures in modern electronic music. Raised in London, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and began his career as a behind-the-scenes songwriter and producer. He caught the attention of Brian Eno, who became his mentor, and the two collaborated extensively, with Gibson contributing to several of Eno’s projects.

Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Fred Again built an impressive resume as a songwriter and producer for major pop acts. He co-wrote and produced tracks for Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Headie One, and many others. He co-produced Ed Sheeran’s album “No.6 Collaborations Project” and won the Brit Award for Producer of the Year in 2020. Fred Again launched his solo career with the “Actual Life” series, beginning in 2021. These albums, which sample voice memos, social media clips, and real conversations, created a deeply emotional and innovative approach to electronic music. “Actual Life (April 14 – December 17 2020)” was followed by two more installments, each earning widespread critical acclaim. His ability to blend raw human emotion with pulsating dance beats resonated with audiences worldwide and earned him comparisons to artists like Jamie xx and Four Tet.

His live performances have become the stuff of legend, selling out arenas and headlining major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza. His collaborative work with Skrillex and Four Tet, including their surprise warehouse shows, became some of the most talked-about events in electronic music. By 2026, Fred Again has established himself as a generational talent who bridges the gap between underground electronic music and mainstream pop appeal.
