HARDY, born Michael Wilson Hardy, is an American country music singer, songwriter, and one of Nashville’s most prolific hit-makers. Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, he grew up listening to a wide range of music from Southern rock to hip-hop, which would later influence his unique approach to country songwriting. He moved to Nashville to attend Middle Tennessee State University and quickly immersed himself in the city’s songwriting community.

Before launching his career as a performing artist, HARDY established himself as one of the most in-demand songwriters in country music. He has written or co-written number-one hits for some of the genre’s biggest names, including Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down” and “Sand in My Boots,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Simple,” Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country,” and Dallas Smith’s “Drop.” His songwriting catalog represents one of the most impressive collections in modern country music, earning him CMA and ACM Songwriter of the Year nominations.

As a solo artist, HARDY released his debut album “A Rock” in 2020, followed by “The Mockingbird and the Crow” in 2022, a double album that showcased both his country and hard rock influences. His music pushes the boundaries of country, incorporating elements of Southern rock, metal, and alternative into his sound. Songs like “One Beer” (featuring Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson), “Give Heaven Some Hell,” and “wait in the truck” (featuring Lainey Wilson) have been major hits.

In 2022, HARDY survived a serious tour bus accident that left him with significant injuries. His recovery and return to performing showcased his resilience and deepened his connection with fans.
