Speedy J

Speedy J (Jochem Paap) is a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ who has been a pioneer of techno since the early 1990s. Born in Rotterdam, he was one of the first European artists to release on the legendary Warp Records and helped define the sound of European techno.

His early work including “Pullover” (1991) was influential in shaping the intelligent techno and IDM movements. Over the years, he’s explored various facets of electronic music while maintaining his reputation for innovation and technical excellence.

Speedy J has collaborated with artists including Richie Hawtin and runs the Electric Deluxe label. His live performances are known for their precision and forward-thinking approach to techno.
