T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. on September 25, 1980, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American rapper, actor, and entrepreneur who is widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the trap music subgenre. Growing up in the Bankhead neighborhood of Atlanta, he began rapping at age eight and signed his first major record deal with LaFace Records while still a teenager.
