Rob Lowe emerged as one of the most prominent members of the Brat Pack in the 1980s, starring in iconic films such as The Outsiders (1983), St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), and About Last Night (1986). His boyish good looks and natural charisma made him one of the biggest teen idols of the decade. However, a personal scandal in the late 1980s temporarily derailed his career, leading him to seek sobriety and rebuild his professional life from the ground up.

Lowe’s career renaissance began in earnest when he was cast as Sam Seaborn on The West Wing in 1999, Aaron Sorkin’s acclaimed political drama.
