Rhett McLaughlin

Rhett McLaughlin is an American YouTuber, comedian, author, and entrepreneur best known as one half of the comedy duo Rhett and Link alongside his lifelong best friend Link Neal. Born on October 11, 1983, in Macon, Georgia, Rhett met Link Neal on their first day of first grade in Buford, Georgia. Their friendship has spanned over four decades and forms the foundation of one of the most successful channels in YouTube history.

Rhett and Link’s primary show, Good Mythical Morning, is a daily variety and comedy talk show that has been running since 2012. The show features taste tests, challenges, experiments, and comedic segments that have attracted a massive following. Their main channel has accumulated over 18 million subscribers and billions of views, making them among the most-watched creators on the platform. They also run additional channels including Good Mythical MORE and the Mythical Kitchen.

Beyond YouTube, Rhett has co-built Mythical, a media company that encompasses their digital content, a studio, merchandise lines, and a network of creator partnerships. The company employs over 100 people and generates revenue through advertising, merchandise, live tours, and their Mythical Society subscription community. Rhett and Link have authored multiple New York Times bestselling books including “Rhett and Link’s Book of Mythicality” and their memoir “Lost Causes.”

Rhett is also a musician who has released comedy songs and albums with Link, many of which have gone viral. He and Link have embarked on multiple live tours performing for sold-out audiences. Standing at 6’7, Rhett’s towering presence and dry wit complement Link’s energetic personality perfectly. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jessie and their two sons, Locke and Shepherd.
