Pusha T

Pusha T is an American rapper and record executive who has been a prominent figure in hip-hop for over two decades. Born Terrence LeVarr Thornton in The Bronx, New York, and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he first gained fame as one half of the hip-hop duo Clipse alongside his brother Malice (now No Malice). Clipse released critically acclaimed albums including Lord Willin’ (2002) and Hell Hath No Fury (2006), both produced primarily by The Neptunes.

After Clipse went on hiatus, Pusha T launched his solo career and signed with Kanye West’s GOOD Music label in 2010. He served as president of GOOD Music from 2015 and released well-received solo projects including My Name Is My Name (2013) and King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude (2015). His sharp lyricism and vivid street narratives earned him widespread respect as one of rap’s premier lyricists.

Pusha T reached new commercial and critical heights with Daytona (2018), a seven-track album produced entirely by Kanye West. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was widely considered one of the best rap albums of the year. His follow-up It’s Almost Dry (2022), produced by Kanye West and Pharrell Williams, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking his first chart-topping album.
