Nina Dobrev is a Bulgarian-born Canadian actress who became a household name through her dual role as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017). Born Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva in Sofia, Bulgaria, she moved to Toronto, Canada with her family when she was two years old.
