Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DML, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has become one of the leading figures in the global Afrobeats movement. Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, he developed a passion for music at a young age and studied English at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife. While in university, he began writing and recording music, eventually catching the attention of Olamide, the founder of YBNL Nation, who signed him to the label in 2018.
