Eugene Levy is a legendary Canadian actor, comedian, writer, and producer whose career spans over five decades in the entertainment industry. Born on December 17, 1946, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he is of Jewish descent and grew up in a working-class family. He studied film and television at McMaster University, where he first became involved in theater and discovered his passion for comedy.

Levy’s career began with the iconic Canadian sketch comedy show “SCTV” (Second City Television) in the late 1970s and 1980s, where he created memorable characters alongside comedy legends like John Candy, Catherine O’Hara, Rick Moranis, and Martin Short.
