Chris Martin

Christopher Anthony John Martin, born on March 2, 1977, in Exeter, Devon, England, is the lead vocalist, pianist, and co-founder of Coldplay, one of the best-selling bands in music history. Martin formed Coldplay in 1996 while studying at University College London, where he met guitarist Jonny Buckland. Their debut album, “Parachutes” (2000), featuring the breakout single “Yellow,” established them as a major force in alternative rock and won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
