Chip Gaines

Chip Gaines is an American television personality, entrepreneur, and real estate developer best known as the co-star of the HGTV hit show Fixer Upper alongside his wife Joanna Gaines. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chip grew up with an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he earned a degree in business and met Joanna Stevens, who would become his wife and lifelong business partner.

Chip’s entrepreneurial instincts were evident long before television fame. He started multiple small businesses during and after college, including a lawn care service, a fireworks stand, and various real estate ventures. In 2003, he and Joanna founded Magnolia Homes, focusing on buying, renovating, and selling homes in the Waco area. Their talent for transforming neglected properties caught the eye of HGTV producers, and Fixer Upper premiered in 2013.
