Pierre Gasly

Pierre Gasly is a French Formula 1 driver who has established himself as one of the most talented and resilient competitors on the grid. Born on February 7, 1996, in Rouen, Normandy, France, Gasly began karting at a young age and quickly rose through the junior racing ranks. He won the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series in 2013 and the GP2 Series (now Formula 2) championship in 2016, earning his ticket to Formula 1.

Gasly made his full-time F1 debut with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2018 after a handful of late-season appearances in 2017. His strong performances earned him a promotion to the senior Red Bull Racing team for the 2019 season alongside Max Verstappen. Starting from the middle of the grid, Gasly took advantage of a chaotic race and held off Carlos Sainz Jr. to claim his maiden F1 win, one of the most emotional victories in recent F1 history. The win was particularly poignant coming just over a year after the death of his close friend Anthoine Hubert at the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix Formula 2 race.

In 2023, Gasly joined the Alpine F1 Team as part of the Renault-owned outfit’s driver lineup alongside Esteban Ocon. The move represented a fresh start and a chance to lead a factory-backed team. With Alpine’s rebranding and investment, Gasly has continued to deliver strong midfield results. His F1 salary, combined with endorsement deals with brands such as Kappa and various French sponsors, has helped him build a substantial net worth estimated at $20 million.
