Zedd, born Anton Zaslavski, is a Russian-German DJ, record producer, and songwriter who has become one of the most successful electronic music artists in the world. Born in Saratov, Russia, he grew up in Kaiserslautern, Germany, in a musical family. His father was a guitarist and music teacher, and his mother was a piano teacher. Zedd began playing piano at age four and drums at age twelve, later studying music at the music conservatory in Kaiserslautern.

Zedd first gained attention in the electronic music scene with his remixes and early singles before achieving massive mainstream success with Clarity (featuring Foxes) in 2012.
