Zayn Malik first rose to international fame as a member of One Direction, one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Born in Bradford, England, to a British-Pakistani family, he auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 at the age of 17. Though he was eliminated as a solo contestant, he was grouped with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson to form One Direction. His relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid brought additional media attention, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Khai, in September 2020.

Zayn’s subsequent albums “Icarus Falls” (2018) and “Room Under the Stairs” (2024) continued to showcase his vocal range and artistic growth.
