Rose, born Roseanne Park (Korean name Park Chae-young), is a South Korean-New Zealand singer and member of BLACKPINK, one of the most commercially successful girl groups in music history. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, to Korean parents, she grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where she developed her musical abilities singing in church choirs and learning guitar. In 2012, she auditioned for YG Entertainment in Australia, ranking first among 700 applicants, and relocated to South Korea to begin her training.
