Morena Baccarin

Morena Baccarin is a Brazilian-American actress who gained significant recognition for her role as Jessica Brody in the Showtime political thriller series Homeland (2011-2017). Her portrayal of the wife of a returning POW-turned-terrorist earned her an Emmy nomination and showcased her ability to handle complex emotional material.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Baccarin moved to New York City at age seven. She studied at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and later at the Juilliard School. Her multicultural background has informed her diverse career choices.
