Jisoo

Kim Jisoo is a South Korean singer and actress best known as a member of BLACKPINK, one of the most successful girl groups in music history. Born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, she joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2011 and debuted with BLACKPINK in August 2016. The group quickly became a global phenomenon, breaking numerous records including becoming the highest-charting female K-pop act on the Billboard Hot 100 and the first K-pop group to perform at Coachella.

As part of BLACKPINK, Jisoo has contributed to albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide. The group’s 2022 album “Born Pink” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and their Born Pink World Tour became the highest-grossing concert tour by a K-pop female act, earning over $330 million. Their music videos routinely break YouTube records, with several surpassing one billion views.

Jisoo has also established a successful acting career. She starred in the 2023 Korean drama “Snowdrop,” playing the female lead opposite Jung Hae-in. In 2023, she signed with a new management company, BLISSOO, to manage her solo activities.
