Jimin

Park Ji-min, known professionally as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer who gained worldwide recognition as a member of BTS. Born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, Jimin trained in contemporary dance at the Busan High School of Arts before being recruited by Big Hit Entertainment. He debuted with BTS in June 2013 and quickly distinguished himself with his fluid dance skills, emotive vocal delivery, and magnetic stage presence.

As a core member of BTS, Jimin played an integral role in the group’s meteoric rise to global stardom. His solo tracks within BTS albums, including “Lie,” “Serendipity,” and “Filter,” became fan favorites and charted independently on global platforms. Jimin became the first BTS member to have a solo song reach one billion streams on Spotify with “Filter.” His artistry blends contemporary dance training with pop and R&B sensibilities, creating a unique performance style that has influenced a generation of K-pop artists.

Jimin launched his solo career with the album FACE in March 2023, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The lead single “Like Crazy” made history by debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making Jimin the first Korean solo artist to achieve that feat. He followed up with his second solo album Muse in 2024, featuring the hit single “Who,” which also performed strongly on global charts. These releases established him as a formidable solo artist in his own right.

Outside of music, Jimin has secured high-profile endorsement deals with Dior, becoming a global brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house. He has also been involved with Tiffany and Co. and various Korean brands. His influence extends beyond entertainment into fashion and culture, with multiple awards for his style and impact. He began his mandatory military service in December 2023, joining fellow BTS member Jungkook at the same training camp.
