Hunter Schafer

Hunter Schafer is an American model, actress, and LGBTQ+ activist who gained international fame for her role as Jules Vaughn in HBO’s “Euphoria” (2019-present). Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and became an activist for transgender rights as a teenager.

Before acting, Schafer worked as a fashion model, walking for prestigious brands including Dior, Miu Miu, and Valentino, and appearing in Vogue. Her casting in “Euphoria” was a breakthrough moment for transgender representation in mainstream television, and her performance earned widespread acclaim.

Schafer co-wrote the special episode “Part Two: Jules” with series creator Sam Levinson, showcasing her creative abilities beyond acting. She has continued modeling while expanding her acting career, appearing in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” (2023).
