Garcelle Beauvais

Garcelle Beauvais is a Haitian-American actress, model, and television personality who has built a career spanning over three decades in Hollywood. Born in Saint-Marc, Haiti, she immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of seven, settling in Peabody, Massachusetts. She began modeling as a teenager and quickly transitioned to acting, landing roles that would establish her as one of the most recognizable faces in entertainment. Her early work included appearances in popular shows and music videos throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Beauvais achieved widespread recognition for her role as Francesca “Fancy” Monroe on The Jamie Foxx Show, which ran from 1996 to 2001. This role showcased her comedic talent and undeniable screen presence. She went on to appear in numerous films and television shows, including NYPD Blue, where she played ADA Valerie Heywood, and the blockbuster film Coming 2 America alongside Eddie Murphy. Her film credits also include Flight, Wild Wild West, and Bad Company.

In 2020, Beauvais joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, becoming the first Black cast member in the show’s history.
