Eve

Eve is an American rapper, singer, actress, and television host who emerged as one of the most prominent female rappers of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born Eve Jihan Jeffers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she began rapping as a teenager and was initially signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment before joining the Ruff Ryders Entertainment roster. Her debut album Let There Be Eve… Ruff Ryders’ First Lady was released in 1999 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her only the third female rapper to achieve this feat.

Eve’s career produced several major hits including “Who’s That Girl,” “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” featuring Gwen Stefani (which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002), and “Gangsta Lovin'” featuring Alicia Keys. She released four studio albums total, including Scorpion (2001) and Eve-Olution (2002), establishing herself as a versatile artist who could blend hip-hop with pop and R&B. Her paw print tattoos on her chest became an iconic part of her image and personal brand.

Beyond music, Eve successfully transitioned into acting and television. She starred in the UPN/The CW sitcom Eve, which ran from 2003 to 2006, and appeared in films including Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, and the XXX franchise. From 2017 to 2020, she co-hosted the CBS daytime talk show The Talk, earning a regular television salary and further expanding her audience. She also launched a fashion line called Fetish in the early 2000s.

Eve married British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, the founder of the Gumball 3000 rally, in 2014. The couple welcomed their first child together in 2022. While her music output has slowed in recent years, Eve continues to earn from her catalog royalties, occasional performances, television work, and various business ventures, contributing to her estimated net worth of $10 million.
