Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is an American actress, producer, director, and entrepreneur who rose to international fame as Gabrielle Solis on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Mexican-American parents, Longoria grew up as the youngest of four sisters. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville before pursuing acting, and later earned a Master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge.

Longoria’s career took off in 2004 when she was cast as Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives, a role she played for all eight seasons until the show ended in 2012. At the height of the show’s popularity, she was earning approximately $400,000 per episode, making her one of the highest-paid actresses on television. The series was a global phenomenon, airing in over 200 countries and earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Beyond acting, Longoria has built a substantial business empire.
