Chris Rock

Chris Rock was born on February 7, 1966, in Andrews, South Carolina, and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. He endured a difficult childhood, facing bullying and racism while being bused to predominantly white schools. He dropped out of high school but later earned his GED. Rock began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager in New York City’s comedy clubs, where he was mentored by Eddie Murphy, who spotted his talent and gave him his first film role in “Beverly Hills Cop II” (1987).
