Charles Melton

Charles Melton is an American actor and former model who has transitioned from teen drama star to acclaimed dramatic actor. Born in Juneau, Alaska, to a Korean mother and American father, Melton played football at Kansas State University before pursuing entertainment.

Melton gained recognition playing Reggie Mantle in The CW’s Riverdale (2017-2023), becoming a fan favorite over the show’s seven-season run. His modeling career included work for major brands and magazines.

His breakthrough dramatic role came in May December (2023), directed by Todd Haynes. His portrayal of Joe Yoo, a man married to a woman (Natalie Portman) who had a controversial relationship with him as a minor, earned widespread critical acclaim and numerous award nominations, establishing him as a serious dramatic actor.
