Benedict Cumberbatch was born on July 19, 1976, in Hammersmith, London, to actors Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham. He was educated at Harrow School, one of England’s most prestigious boarding schools, before studying drama at the University of Manchester and later earning a Master of Arts in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). His privileged upbringing and elite education provided a strong foundation for his theatrical career.
