Alexander Zverev is a German professional tennis player who has established himself as one of the top players of his generation. Born on April 20, 1997, in Hamburg, Germany, to a family of Russian origin, Zverev was introduced to tennis at an early age by his parents, Alexander Sr. and Irina, both of whom were accomplished tennis players in the Soviet Union.
