Jason Segel is an American actor, writer, and producer born on January 18, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood and attended Harvard-Westlake School, where he was a standout basketball player. Standing at 6’4″, Segel initially considered pursuing athletics before discovering his passion for acting and comedy. He got his first major break at just 18 years old when he was cast as Nick Andopolis in Judd Apatow’s cult classic television series “Freaks and Geeks” (1999-2000).
