Hayley Williams

Hayley Williams is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Paramore. Born in Meridian, Mississippi, and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, Williams showed exceptional vocal talent from a young age. She moved to Tennessee at 13, where she met brothers Josh and Zac Farro, forming what would become Paramore. The band signed to Fueled by Ramen at a time when Williams was just 15 years old.

Paramore broke through with their second album Riot! in 2007, which featured the hit single Misery Business. The band’s popularity exploded further with Brand New Eyes in 2009 and their self-titled album in 2013, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Their song Decode was featured on the Twilight soundtrack, introducing them to an even wider audience. The band continued their success with After Laughter in 2017 and This Is Why in 2023.

Williams launched a successful solo career with the release of Petals for Armor in 2020 and Flowers for Vases/Descansos in 2021, showcasing a more experimental and introspective side of her artistry. These projects received critical acclaim and demonstrated her versatility as a songwriter and performer beyond the rock genre.

In addition to her music career, Williams founded Good Dye Young, a hair dye company, in 2016. The brand has grown into a successful business sold in major retailers like Sally Beauty and Sephora.
