Jack Hody Johnson is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and filmmaker whose laid-back acoustic sound has made him one of the most commercially successful soft rock artists of the 21st century. Born on May 18, 1975, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Johnson grew up surfing and developed a love for music through his father, who was a surfer himself and friends with many Hawaiian musicians.
