Shaun White

Shaun White is the most decorated snowboarder in Olympic history and one of the most marketable action sports athletes of all time. Born on September 3, 1986, in San Diego, California, White was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot and underwent two open-heart surgeries before the age of one. Despite this challenging start, he took up snowboarding at age six and skateboarding at age seven, showing extraordinary talent in both disciplines from a very young age.

White’s competitive career is defined by his three Olympic gold medals in the halfpipe event, earned at the 2006 Turin Games, the 2010 Vancouver Games, and the 2018 PyeongChang Games, where his final run score of 97.75 is considered one of the greatest moments in Winter Olympics history. He also won 15 X Games gold medals across snowboarding and skateboarding, further establishing his dominance in action sports. His gravity-defying tricks, including his signature Double McTwist 1260, pushed the boundaries of what was possible in halfpipe snowboarding.
