Ian Somerhalder is an American actor, producer, and entrepreneur who has built a multifaceted career spanning television, film, and business. Born in Covington, Louisiana, Somerhalder began modeling at age 10 and transitioned into acting as a teenager. After early television appearances and a brief stint on the short-lived WB series “Young Americans,” he landed a significant role as Boone Carlyle on ABC’s groundbreaking hit series “Lost” in 2004, which introduced him to a massive global audience.
