Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen is an American television host, producer, and author who is best known as the host and executive producer of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Bravo and as the mastermind behind the Real Housewives franchise. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Cohen graduated from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism before beginning his career at CBS News, where he worked as an intern for Julie Chen and later as a producer for The Early Show and 48 Hours.

Cohen joined Bravo in 2004 as the vice president of original programming and quickly transformed the network into a reality television powerhouse. Under his leadership, Bravo launched some of its most iconic series, including the Real Housewives franchise, which began with The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006 and expanded to include cities across the United States and internationally. His vision for reality programming that combined lifestyle, drama, and aspirational content reshaped the genre and turned Bravo into one of the most-watched cable networks.

In 2009, Cohen launched Watch What Happens Live, a late-night talk show on Bravo that became a cultural phenomenon. Cohen became a father through surrogacy, welcoming his son Benjamin in 2019 and his daughter Lucy in 2022.
