Pauly D, born Paul DelVecchio Jr. on July 5, 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island, is an American DJ and television personality who rose to fame as one of the original cast members of MTV’s Jersey Shore. Of Italian-American descent, DelVecchio grew up in Johnston, Rhode Island, and developed a passion for DJing as a teenager, spinning at local clubs and events throughout New England before gaining national recognition.

DelVecchio’s life changed dramatically when he was cast in Jersey Shore, which premiered in December 2009 and became one of the highest-rated shows in MTV history. Known for his signature blowout hairstyle, upbeat personality, and catchphrases, Pauly D quickly became one of the most popular cast members.
