Lashana Lynch is a British actress of Jamaican descent who has rapidly risen to international stardom through high-profile roles in some of the biggest film franchises in the world. Born in Hammersmith, London, to Jamaican parents, Lynch grew up in a household that celebrated Caribbean culture while immersing herself in the British theater tradition. She trained at the ArtsEd drama school in London, graduating in 2010 and immediately beginning to build her career on stage and screen.

Lynch first gained attention in the UK through her role in the BBC drama series Still Star-Crossed (2017), a period piece set in the aftermath of Romeo and Juliet. However, her career took a monumental leap when she was cast as Nomi in the James Bond film No Time to Die (2021). In the film, she played a 00 agent who had inherited the 007 designation, making her the first Black woman to hold the iconic number in the franchise’s history.
