Steve Lacy

Steve Lacy is a multi-talented musician, producer, and guitarist who first gained recognition as a member of the Grammy-winning R&B and funk band The Internet. Born in Compton, California, Lacy taught himself to produce music on his iPhone using GarageBand as a teenager. He joined The Internet at just 17 and contributed significantly to their critically acclaimed 2015 album “Ego Death,” which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Lacy’s solo career took off with the release of his debut EP “Steve Lacy’s Demo” in 2017, a project he produced entirely on his phone.
