Justin Timberlake

Justin Randall Timberlake is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and producer who has been one of the most prominent figures in pop music and entertainment for over three decades. Born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee, Timberlake began performing as a child, appearing on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s alongside future stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling. In 1995, he became a member of NSYNC, which went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, selling over 70 million records worldwide.

Timberlake launched his solo career with the album Justified in 2002, produced primarily by The Neptunes and Timbaland. The album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and produced hit singles “Cry Me a River” and “Rock Your Body.” His second solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and featured the number-one hit “SexyBack” as well as “My Love” and “What Goes Around… Comes Around.” The album solidified Timberlake as the preeminent male pop star of his generation and earned him multiple Grammy Awards.

After a music hiatus focused on acting, Timberlake returned with The 20/20 Experience in 2013, which debuted at number one and sold nearly one million copies in its first week in the United States. He followed with The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 later that year and Man of the Woods in 2018. His film career includes notable roles in The Social Network (2010), Friends with Benefits (2011), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), and voicing Branch in the Trolls animated franchise. His song “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” from Trolls earned an Academy Award nomination and won a Grammy.

Timberlake’s business ventures extend beyond entertainment. He has owned restaurants, invested in technology companies, co-owned the Memphis Grizzlies minority stake, and launched the William Rast clothing line. His endorsement history includes deals with McDonald’s, Levi’s, and Bai Brands, the latter of which he partially owned before it was acquired by Dr Pepper Snapple Group. He married actress Jessica Biel in 2012, and the couple has two sons. With ten Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades, Timberlake remains one of the most successful entertainers of the 21st century.
