Charlie Cox

Charlie Cox is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born in London to a publisher father, Cox trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and began his career in British television.

Cox gained international attention with his role in Stardust (2007), but his career-defining role came when he was cast as the blind superhero lawyer Matt Murdock in Netflix’s Daredevil (2015-2018). His nuanced, physical performance earned critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase.

After Netflix cancelled Marvel’s shows, Cox’s return to the MCU became one of the most anticipated developments in superhero entertainment. He reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), and Echo (2024), before leading Daredevil: Born Again (2025-present) on Disney+.

The series’ success led to an immediate Season 2 renewal, premiering March 4, 2026, cementing Cox’s Daredevil as a cornerstone of the MCU’s future.
