Sebastian Stan

Sebastian Stan is a Romanian-American actor best known for his portrayal of Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born on August 13, 1982, in Constanta, Romania, Stan moved to Vienna, Austria, at age eight with his mother before emigrating to Rockland County, New York, at age twelve. He attended the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where he honed his craft and graduated in 2005.

Stan’s early career included television roles in shows like Law & Order, Gossip Girl (where he played Carter Baizen), and Kings, as well as stage work in New York. His breakthrough came when he was cast as Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). He went on to reprise the role across numerous MCU films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). He also co-led the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) alongside Anthony Mackie.
